Covid continues to remain the general theme, bringing with it an economic and market crisis. A harsh and rainy winter like it hasn't been seen for years. Some snowfalls in the plains, abundant in the mountains. The very rainy spring from March to June delayed the planting of the new vineyard in the east part of the hill. Fortunately, the flowering was guaranteed by dry days. Hot and basically dry summer. Harvest started late, in line with expectations. Pinot grigio and Sauvignon harvested in mid-September. Ribolla harvested at the beginning of October and Cabernet on the 16th of the same month. Very healthy grapes and excellent night-day temperature changes.

It has been the Covid 19 pandemic year. Balanced winter with November rains and some icy days starting from December 2019. From March, a general lockdown has begun which has allowed a certain tranquility in the vineyard’s work. Very hot spring with really low precipitation. Stable summer with regular rains. This allowed very reduced vine treatments and a very high quality of the grapes. A little powdery mildew and downy mildew has decreased the yield of our vineyards. The harvest of the whites took place before mid-September, just before the rains. The red harvest in mid-October, graced by an almost summer week. The only thing to keep of 2020 is just wine.

Very high quality, good quantity. Rainfall in Spring ruined much of the flowering of fruit plants in Collio. Late vintage, then it recovered in time. Perfect Summer, warm with regular rains. In 13th of July a hailstorm arrived in Çujevi, causing big damage, mostly on not huge leaf cover vines. Great day/night temperature changes gave a plus to this already good vintage. Once in winery, grapes had a low liter/kilos yield. For most, a marvelous vintage, but hail has held back expectations.

Very good Spring, the first days of May we began with phytosanitary treatments. Hot in Summer all the way long, dry, with really little rainfall. This permitted to do just a few treatments. As it was dry, I destemmed overripe grapes. In August, a thunderbolt shocked a Cabernet Franc row. The following year it recovered.
